Senior Data Platform Engineer

Hilcrest Technical Contracting & Construction (HTC) is a UAE-based marine and civil contractor with a heritage of more than four decades in deep foundations and marine construction. We deliver jetties, quay walls, dredging, harbours and industrial civil works for national oil companies, port authorities, terminal operators and government clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines that consolidate project, fleet, HSE, procurement and finance data into a central platform.
• Model and document data so that project managers, engineers and management can report on progress, cost and performance with confidence.
• Develop dashboards and reporting datasets in close collaboration with project controls and operations teams.
• Implement data quality checks, access controls and backup procedures in line with company IT and security policies.
• Evaluate and introduce tools that improve how site and office teams capture and use data.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, and hands-on experience with ETL tools, cloud data warehouses and BI platforms.
• Experience in construction, engineering, oil & gas or industrial environments is a strong advantage.
• Clear communicator, able to work with non-technical stakeholders and turn their needs into practical solutions.
