Civil Works for New 8

Demolition and reinstatement of asphalt road, interlock pavement and existing fence. Construction of precast and cast-in-situ pipe…

This project supports the installation of a new 8-inch produced water line on Das Island. HTC's scope covers the civil works along the pipeline route inside an operating facility: breaking out and reinstating asphalt roads, interlock paving and existing fencing, and constructing precast and cast-in-situ supports for the new pipe. All activities are planned around the operator's permit-to-work system and island logistics, so that the facility continues to run safely while the works progress.

Materials and equipment are shipped to the island under a coordinated logistics plan, and the works are divided into short sections so that roads and access routes can be reopened quickly. Precast supports are produced to controlled quality standards, while cast-in-situ elements are built where site conditions or interfaces require them.

Project Goals

The aim of the project is to provide a safe, durable route and support system for the new produced water line, while keeping disruption to the operating facility to a minimum.

  • Construct precast and cast-in-situ supports for the new pipeline.
  • Reinstate asphalt roads, interlock paving and fencing to their original standard.
  • Work safely within the operator's permit-to-work and simultaneous operations requirements.
  • Keep site access and island traffic moving throughout the works.

Once the civil works are complete, the route will be ready for pipe installation, and all reinstated areas will be handed back to the operator in full working condition.
