Construction of 33 Access Bridges to FOIZ Oil Terminals

Construction of access bridges to each oil storage terminal to assure uninterrupted access to the terminals by FOIZ.

Working in client's consultant mode for the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ), HTC constructed 33 access bridges, one to each oil storage terminal in the zone. The bridges ensure uninterrupted road access to the terminals, which is essential for operations, maintenance and emergency response. Each bridge was built while neighbouring terminals remained in operation, with traffic and safety management in place throughout.

With 33 separate structures to deliver, the works were carefully programmed so that each terminal always had an alternative means of access during construction. Close coordination with FOIZ and the terminal operators allowed traffic diversions and safety measures to be put in place for every bridge.

Project Goals

The aim of the project was to give every oil storage terminal in the zone safe, permanent and uninterrupted road access.

The completed bridges now provide reliable access across the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, supporting the day-to-day operation of one of the region's most important storage hubs.
