Breakwater & jetty construction

HTC designs and builds breakwaters, revetments and jetties that protect harbours and coastlines and provide safe berthing for vessels. Our experience ranges from temporary construction jetties to permanent piled jetties and rock breakwaters for ports, marinas and industrial terminals.

Breakwaters are built in layers of core, filter and armour rock or concrete units, placed by our marine plant to the profiles required by the design wave climate. Piled jetties combine our foundation expertise with precast and cast-in-situ concrete decks, fendering, bollards and services.

We manage rock and material supply, marine transport and placement as one coordinated operation, keeping close control of tolerances, sequencing and weather windows throughout construction.
