Dredging and reclamation

HTC carries out capital and maintenance dredging and land reclamation for ports, harbours, marinas and coastal developments. Whether a berth needs deepening for larger vessels or new land is required for a terminal expansion, we plan each campaign around the required design depth, the material to be removed and the environmental conditions on site.

Our teams work from pre-dredge bathymetric surveys and geotechnical data to select the right equipment and method, then control progress with regular surveys until the design profile is achieved. Dredged material is placed, reused in reclamation or disposed of in line with the approved environmental plan.

Turbidity, sediment control and protection of the surrounding marine environment are built into every method statement, in line with the requirements of the relevant port and environmental authorities.
