Wharf and quays
Quay walls and wharves are at the core of HTC's marine construction work. We build berths for container terminals, bulk and liquid cargo facilities, shipyards and marinas, choosing the structural form that best suits the ground, the loads and the vessels to be served.
Our experience covers gravity quay walls of precast concrete blocks, anchored sheet pile and combi-walls, and open piled decks. Each is built with the capping beams, fendering, bollards, crane rails and services the berth needs to operate.
Precast elements are produced to controlled quality standards and placed by our own floating plant, while survey control and inspection ensure the finished quay meets alignment and level tolerances.
- Gravity quay walls in precast mass concrete blocks.
- Sheet-piled and combi-wall quays with walling and coping beams.
- Open piled wharves with precast and cast-in-situ decks.
- Fenders, bollards, crane rails and quayside services.
Whether it is a new berth or the extension of an existing quay, HTC delivers durable structures that keep vessels and cargo moving safely.
