Site mobilisation Mobilisations

Fleet mobilised for a major quay wall extension in Abu Dhabi

HTC has mobilised its marine fleet to begin work on a major quay wall extension in Abu Dhabi, adding new berth length to serve larger vessels and growing cargo volumes.

The mobilisation brings together our crane barge, self-propelled barges and tugs, supported by site offices, laydown areas and survey equipment. Our teams completed pre-start inspections, marine risk assessments and site inductions before the first marine activities began.

Mobilisation highlights

  • Crane barge, barges and tugs mobilised and positioned on site.
  • Pre-construction surveys completed to confirm existing seabed and quay levels.
  • Site facilities, laydown areas and access routes established.

A well-planned mobilisation sets the pace for the whole project. Having our own fleet means we can move quickly and stay in control of the programme.

Work will now progress with foundation works and the placement of quay wall elements, carried out in coordination with port operations so that existing berths remain available.
